ESPN Louisville Adds Selvaggi As General Manager

ESPN Louisville, owners of ESPN 680 Louisville, 105.7 Frankfort and 93.9 The Ville, are excited to announce the hiring of new General Manager, Ken Selvaggi who will be joining the management team alongside Vice President Drew Deener and Program Director Andy Sweeney.

Chad Boeger, President of ESPN Louisville on the hire, “Ken brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to ESPN Louisville. He is a strong leader in the media industry. We are thrilled to have him join our staff as we launch our broadcast partnership with the University of Louisville.”

Selvaggi brings tremendous media experience in and outside the market with him. He joins ESPN Louisville from WAVE-TV where he served as Vice-President/General Manager for more than a decade. He brings experience from a 40-year broadcasting career that includes General Manager positions at WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama and KSNT-TV in Topeka, Kansas. Prior to Topeka, he was News Director at three West Virginia TV stations including a decade at WSAZ-TV in Huntington/Charleston.

Selvaggi also was special projects producer at WHAS-TV in Louisville, news and sports producer at KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and news director at a National Public radio station in Pittsburgh.

During his tenure at WAVE, the station was awarded the Kentucky Broadcasters Association Station of the Year in 2019 and 2020, an Emmy for Overall Excellence in 2017 and Edward R. Murrow awards for Overall Excellence in 2014 and 2019. He currently serves on the Boards of the Kentucky Derby Festival, Downtown Rotary Club, Jefferson County Public Education Foundation, Campbellsville University Louisville, and Imagination Library Louisville as well as the advisory board for Kosair Charities.

Selvaggi is a former Board President of Leadership Louisville, and former board member of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association, Actors Theatre, Kentucky Shakespeare, and Metro United Way’s Community Impact Cabinet. Ken and his wife Anne have been married for 28 years and have three children.
